🌍 Welcome to Wasteland Tactics: Root Crisis Originally created in just 2 weeks for Lowrez Game Jam 2020, this compact strategy RPG offers surprising depth with a haunting vision of Earth’s post-apocalyptic future.
In the year ~2075, climate change becomes irreversible. To slow the rising tides, humanity releases a thickening agent into Earth’s waters. It works—partially. But the enhanced nutrients cause rampant plant overgrowth. Vines tear through concrete and roots cause groundquakes that collapse cities. By 2100, civilization as we knew it is gone.
Survivors shelter underground while rogue warriors battle on the surface for relics of the old world—dodging toxic rain and navigating ever-shifting overgrowth.
