Game Controls
Mastering True Skate’s intuitive controls is key to unlocking its full potential. Follow these steps to become a skateboarding pro:
-
Step 1: Basic Movement & Ollies Place one finger on the board to push and gain speed. To perform an ollie, swipe down on the tail of the board. Familiarize yourself with simply navigating the park.
-
Step 2: Turning & Maneuvering While in motion, hold your finger on either the left or right side of the board to initiate turns. Practice controlling your speed and direction fluidly to navigate obstacles.
-
Step 3: Mastering Basic Tricks Execute an ollie with a quick swipe on the tail, or a nollie by swiping the nose. Experiment with the angle and speed of your swipes to vary your aerial tricks and achieve different heights.
-
Step 4: Grinding Approach a rail or ledge and pop an ollie. As you become airborne, align your skateboard to land on the rail. Maintain your balance by keeping your finger steady on the board to continue the grind.
-
Step 5: Incorporating Flips While airborne after an ollie, swipe the side of the board to perform flip tricks. Practice fundamental moves like kickflips (swipe across the board) and heelflips (swipe off the heel side) to perfection.
-
Step 6: Creating Combos Combine various moves—ollies, grinds, and flips—into seamless sequences. Aim for precision and timing to maximize your score and unlock challenging achievements.
-
Step 7: Explore & Conquer Venture into different skate parks, each offering unique obstacles and challenges. Apply your honed skills to new terrains, discover hidden lines, and set new high scores.
